Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between BMR and TDEE?
BMR is the calories your body burns at complete rest. TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) adds your physical activity on top of BMR. Use TDEE to plan daily calorie intake for weight maintenance, loss, or gain.
Which BMR formula does this use?
This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation: for men, 10 × weight + 6.25 × height − 5 × age + 5; for women, the same minus 161. Weight is in kilograms and height in centimetres.
