Moving and Shipping Calculators
7 calculators
Volume and weight for shipping and relocations: cargo and container volumes, dimensional weight, pallet counts, box quantities and truck sizing. Carriers bill on whichever is greater, actual or dimensional weight, and each has its own divisor — check it, because it is frequently the difference between two quotes.
- CBM Shipping Calculator Calculate cubic metres, volumetric weight and container fit for a shipment.
- Container Loading Calculator Estimate carton fit by grid orientation and payload for common container sizes.
- Dimensional Weight Calculator Calculate volumetric weight for a parcel and find out which weight the courier will charge.
- Moving Box Calculator Estimate moving-box quantities and material costs from room counts and packing assumptions.
- Moving Truck Size Calculator Find the right moving truck size and number of trips for your home.
- Pallet Calculator Calculate how many cartons fit on a pallet and how many pallets a shipment needs.
- Storage Unit Size Calculator Estimate stored volume against a unit’s floor area, height and packing allowance.

Moving and shipping involve more than adding item volumes. Packaging, access, stacking and usable vehicle dimensions affect whether a load fits, while a carrier may compare actual and dimensional weight. Choose the relevant quantity before treating a volume estimate as a booking size.
Plan household packing and storage
Box and storage-unit estimates use assumptions about possessions or measured space. Truck sizing adds a capacity scenario, but does not know the exact shape, fragility or stacking restrictions of every item.
Measure a shipment or pallet load
CBM is a geometric volume calculation; dimensional weight uses a divisor and billing convention. Pallet and container tools require a loading arrangement rather than just a sum of cubic volumes.
Confirm the provider’s usable dimensions
Check door openings, internal dimensions, weight limits, service inclusions and the carrier’s current charging rules. A model output is a planning estimate, not confirmation that a shipment is accepted or that a load is safe.
