Education Calculators

1 calculator

Grade and weighted-average calculations for coursework. Weighting schemes differ between schools and between courses within a school, so the result is only correct if the weights you enter match the ones in your syllabus — check that first, because it is where most surprises come from.

About

Begin with the grading rule for the course or institution. A weighted course grade combines assessment scores and their weights; an exam-target question works backward from a desired total. GPA uses a different scale and credit convention, while study time is a planning estimate rather than a grade prediction.

Combine the scores already earned

The grade calculator is the tool filed directly in this category. Enter scores on the expected scale and check whether the weights describe the entire course or only the work completed so far. The weighting convention controls what the total means.

Continue with a related education task

For a target final-exam score, use the final-grade tool; for a credit-weighted academic average, choose GPA or cumulative GPA. These related tools live in other categories because they accept different inputs. A study-time plan answers a scheduling question instead.

Use the institution’s published rules

Verify rounding, missing-work treatment, extra credit and the grade or GPA scale with the course rules. A numerical scenario does not determine the institution’s recorded grade, eligibility or required study time.
