About this calculator
K/D is kills divided by deaths; KDA adds assists to kills. Game rules differ in how they count assists, so compare these ratios only within the same game and stat definitions. Both ratios are undefined when deaths are zero.
Worked example
calculated with the default values below
Total kills 250 · Total deaths 180 · Total assists 90 · Matches played 50 K/D ratio 1.39 · KDA ratio 1.89 · Kills per match 5.00 · Deaths per match 3.60 · Assists per match 1.80
Method and assumptions
K/D = K ÷ D; KDA = (K + A) ÷ D K/D = kills ÷ deaths; KDA = (kills + assists) ÷ deaths. Both ratios are undefined when deaths = 0. K/D is kills divided by deaths; KDA adds assists to kills. Frequently asked questions
Why does adding assists change KDA but not K/D?
K/D is kills divided by deaths. KDA is (kills + assists) divided by deaths, so assists affect KDA only. Games may count assists differently; compare stats using the same game rules.
What happens when deaths are zero?
Both ratios divide by deaths and are undefined when deaths are zero. The calculator does not substitute another value for the denominator.
Which inputs and limits apply to KD Ratio Calculator?
Use the units shown beside each field. These are form limits, not recommended settings. Total kills: 0–1,000,000; Total deaths: 0–1,000,000; Total assists: 0–1,000,000; Matches played: 1–100,000 K/D = K ÷ D; KDA = (K + A) ÷ D K/D = kills ÷ deaths; KDA = (kills + assists) ÷ deaths. What is a complete worked example for Total kills = 250; Total deaths = 180?
Inputs: Total kills = 250; Total deaths = 180; Total assists = 90; Matches played = 50. Calculation: K/D = K ÷ D; KDA = (K + A) ÷ D. Results: K/D ratio = 1.39; KDA ratio = 1.89; Kills per match = 5.00; Deaths per match = 3.60; Assists per match = 1.80.
