Matched price = own price − max(0, own price − competitor price) × match percentage (0–100%). Savings and optional cashback use entered quantities. Percent savings is undefined when own price is zero; savings per hour is undefined at zero claim time. Actual retailer eligibility varies.
Frequently asked questions
Can the match percentage be greater than 100%?
No. The scenario is limited to a full match of the price difference. Retailer policies may exclude some sellers, products or promotions, so verify eligibility and terms before relying on the estimate.
Why does the match percentage matter when a retailer only refunds part?
The retailer need not refund the full gap; at 100% the default $249 paid versus $199 saves $50 per item, but set the match field to 50% and you keep only $25 of the difference. Because saving scales as the gap times the match percent, a store that matches only half a price drop can make a bulk deal look better than it really is.
