About this calculator
This is a rough fit estimate based only on height and a selected fit profile; it is not a garment measurement. Sleeve lengths vary by brand, cut and how the garment is measured. Compare with a well-fitting shirt or the maker’s size chart before ordering.
Worked example
calculated with the default values below
Your height 70 in · Measurement unit Inches · Fit profile Men's cut Sleeve length 23.5 in · Sleeve length 59.6 cm · Rounded sleeve estimate 24

Sleeve estimate = height × selected profile factor; it is only a rough fit reference. Brand, cut and measurement method vary.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the sleeve length assume arm span equals your height?
The tool sets estimated arm span equal to height, so a 70-inch person has a 70-inch span, and the sleeve is a fixed fraction of that span: 0.335 for men and 0.325 for women. That gives about 23.5 inches for a 70-inch man. The approximation holds for most adults but breaks for unusually long- or short-armed builds, where measuring shoulder to wrist directly is better. The shirt size rounds to the nearest half inch.
