About this calculator
The model assigns 60, 100 or 145 sq ft per table by seat count, 2 sq ft per dancing guest, 50 sq ft per buffet table and 100 sq ft for a bar. Tent dimensions add a 10% allowance and round each square side up to the next 10 ft. Base layout area excludes that allowance; verify venue and supplier requirements.

Frequently asked questions
Why do tent dimensions include more area than the base layout?
The base area adds table seating, dance-floor guests, buffet tables and an optional bar. The suggested square dimensions add 10% to that base, take the square root and round each side up to the next 10 ft. The 10% is a model allowance, not a venue or safety requirement.
