If Dec 25 has passed this year, next year’s date is used. Weeks = D÷7, months = D÷30.4375; shopping days are counted day by day excluding Sundays only.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the Christmas countdown exclude Sundays from shopping days?
The tool walks each day from today to 25 December and counts only Monday through Saturday as shopping days, skipping Sundays when most shops are closed. If Christmas has already passed this year, it rolls to next year. At defaults the shopping-days figure is roughly the calendar days minus about one seventh, since one in seven days is a Sunday.
